Welcome to BizPaL, the Online Business Permits and Licenses Service

BizPaL allows entrepreneurs to easily generate a customized list of the permits and licences they require from all levels of government by answering some simple, generic questions about the business. It simplifies the compliance regulation process for entrepreneurs, governments, and third party business service providers. It is easy and convenient, and provides Canadian businesses with one-stop access to permit and licence information for all levels of government.

The service's primary goals are to slash document research time and help entrepreneurs start up faster. For government, BizPaL provides the assurance that business clients will have the information they need to meet all permit and licence requirements quickly and efficiently. It also provides a way to improve the service experience for business clients, while gaining a competitive edge over other jurisdictions.

BizPal exists because entrepreneurs complained that they must go to many different departments within multiple levels of government to find out what permits and licences they need for their business, never being sure if they have missed something. BizPaL provides businesses a way to identify their entire permit and licence requirements from every level and department of government at one time through the website of any partner jurisdiction of their choice, saving them time and money. BizPaL is a self-service tool, meaning governments are able to redirect valuable client service resources. The collaboration within and between governments that is at the core of the BizPaL service will ultimately lead to more streamlined and efficient government services.

BizPal saves time. It allows entrepreneurs to know the impact of their activities up front. It also saves money, by providing early detection of problems. Clients know exactly what is needed and are not stuck with non-compliance fees because they forgot a permit or licence. BizPal allows entrepreneurs to become more comfortable with government. It is simple and easy to access and encourages voluntary compliance.
